Welcome to the first installment of the First-Person Perspective! In this, ongoing series we will take a snapshot of what’s going on in the world of first-person games. Whether those games are FPS games, Looter Shooters, BR’s, or whatever! This week we will look at Modern Warfare, Destiny 2, and Rainbow 6 Siege.
Modern Warfare 2019
One of the worst kept secrets in gaming has not only officially been confirmed but has gone live on 3/10/20. Call of Duty Warzone. This is the newest take on a BR, or Battle Royale game, featuring assets and maps from the Infinity Ward Call of Duty games. The quick rundown is that the game will feature 150 players in 1, 2, or 3-man teams. There will be several unique features like being able to win a 1v1 to redeploy into the match if you die. Or the fact that money can be found on people you kill or in loot boxes. This can be used to buy kill streaks, gas masks, and even a fallen teammate. The best part is that Warzone is FREE. Yes, free as a standalone game or as part of the Modern Warfare game.
It may have a new name, but fans of Destiny are pumped that Trails has finally made its way back to Destiny. The start of Season of the Worthy is upon us and with that came several changes to the game. Including a new armor system, nerfed weapons, and the return of Trials of Osiris. We are also getting updates to 3 fan-favorite maps from the original Destiny: The Anomaly, Cauldron, and Exodus Blue. Grab your fireteam and good luck unlocking that sweet new gear.
Rainbow 6 Siege
The next chapter in Rainbow 6 Siege is set to release on March 10th. Void Edge looks to add a ton of cosmetics, map reworks, new operators, and new loot earning mechanics to the series. Season 5 looks to keep the momentum going for this fantastically support tactical shooter. There is even an elite skin for Laura Croft and a new battle pass. Get your squad together and jump in.
