Welcome to the eighth episode of the First-Person Perspective! In this on-going series, we will take a snapshot of what’s going on in the world of first-person games. This week we will look at COD: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered, Star Wars Battlefront II, and Disintegration.
COD: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered
For those of you who may have missed it on April 30th, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 becomes available on Xbox and PC. It is currently available for $19.99 through the in-game store in Modern Warfare (2019). That price includes a skin for fan-favorite Ghost as well as some other treats for use in Warzone and MP. The plans currently are for the many of the classic maps from MW2 to be ported during different updates to the Modern Warfare’s MP mode. Get ready to enjoy a 4k trip down memory lane.
Star Wars Battlefront II
On April 29th the Battle on Scarif Update drops for all platforms. With this update, we get to finally play on Scarif from Star Wars Rogue One! Sadly, there are no new heroes from the movie being added but we did get some new skins for several other heroes. These heroes include Darth Maul, Rey, Kylo Ren, and Emperor Palpatine. There are also some skins unlocked by challenges. Game mode wise they are bringing the Age of Rebellion to Supremacy and Instant Action. This is a great close to more than two years, the team has deployed 25 free content updates that have shaped and expanded Star Wars Battlefront II into something truly special for Star Wars fans.
Disintegration
Disintegration is a new sci-fi first-person shooter set in the near future on Earth where the only hope for human survival is through Integration. Integration is a process developed to preserve human brains in robotic armatures. Scheduled to release later this year. You play as Romer Shoal, a former Gravcycle pilot in command of a small Integrated resistance still grasping onto fading memories of their human selves. Developer V1 Interactive says the game will feature a thrilling single-player campaign and frenetic PvP multiplayer where pilots and their crews compete in three exciting game modes across a variety of maps.
