Playstation Now, Sony’s game-streaming service, will finally be getting PS4 games added to its library of titles available on PS4 consoles and PC.
The service currently lets you stream PS3 and some other classic titles to your PS4 or PC. Sony announced via its Playstation Blog that PS4 titles will soon be added to the group, although a date for them to be added or what titles were going to be available were not given. Current subscribers to the service will be able to beta test the new games before anyone else gets a shot.
Now Or Pass?
The announcement of the added titles comes on the heels of Microsoft announcing their own version of the service, Xbox Game Pass, which is currently in beta in the Xbox Preview Program. The main difference between the two is that with the Xbox service, you will be able to download the games directly to your console, whereas Playstation Now streams the games to your PS4 console or PC.
Pricing for Sony’s service currently sits at $19.99 a month, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see the price lowered after the update to make it more competitive with the Xbox Game Pass, which will be $9.99 a month.
