Nintendo Reportedly More Open to Adding Mature Games to the Switch
During a Wall Street Journal (paywall for full article) Gal Gun 2 Chief Executive, Takuya Aizu, stated the surprise he had when the pitch for the game was welcomed by Nintendo. Another unnamed executive from Nintendo reportedly stated that Nintendo was ‘passive’ towards more mature content in the past. Apparently the Company has now changed gear and is more open to the idea of more mature content coming to their console. With titles like Doom (2016) coming in November and Wolfenstein II coming next year as some solid proof of the statements.

Ubisoft out of nowhere announced and released a new DLC pack, called the Ultra Challenge Pack, this past Wednesday. As the player can expect the Ultra Challenge Pack, the DLC adds extra challenge maps to the Mario and Rabbids Xcom-esque game. The DLC also incorporated a co-op mode to the game that adds five maps that are exclusive to the co-op mode featuring Chain Chomps, Tornados, Boos and Pyroclasts. Nintendo OS Version 4.0 is Here
Just a few days ago, Nintendo released their newest OS update with Version 4.0.0. The update gives players the ability to transfer their saved games and User Profiles to a new Switch system. Unfortunately it doesn’t allow for cloud saves so players will still lose all their data should they misplace their original console. The update also allows for video capture in select games for now. The games this feature is currently available for are Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, ARMS, and Splatoon 2. Video clips can only be thirty seconds long, but the album app on the console allows for editing and uploading to social media to show off all those crazy moments you had while gaming. The update also had a secret little surprise, in making wireless headphones usable with Switch, kind of. To use a wireless headset, the headset has to be a USB enabled one. The guys over at NintendoLife have a short instructional video showing how it works, check it out below:
