Now that Lex has powered up villains across the cosmos, he marshals his own troops, sparking a war between the Legion of Doom and the Justice League that will span space, time and the Multiverse itself. This is the start of the next big Justice League event, with consequences affecting “DC’s Year of the Villain” and beyond! DC recalled this issue citing discrepancies between the covers and actual story content. The recalled original cover (not pictured here) with “The Temptation of Lois Lane” text is already going for $35+ on eBay.

Indie Spotlight


Delve deeper into the history of the Butcher, learning how he obtained these horrific abilities to use electricity as his weapon! Knowledge is a power to dispel darkness too, but will it be enough? Mulehorn Gaming’s very own Thaddeus Prime reviewed issue #1 earlier this month, read that review in full to learn about the journey this book has been on. Leave on the Light is also being made into a movie as writer Bradley Golden confirmed earlier this month. Great pacing and compelling artwork help create the horror movie feel while making each page of this book intense! For fans of horror and the hack-n-slash genre, this book should be on your pull list. EDIT NOTE – this title has been delayed and will release in September.

Meanwhile, the Darkats continue their march through Greenspyre and receive news that will aid them in their quest to destroy the Eramad dynasty!

Final Thoughts

Happy 80 year anniversary to Marvel! Big thanks to Donny Cates and Jonathan Hickman as Absolute Carnage and House of X/Powers of X have been outstanding. Tom King rocked the comic community with City of Bane last week in Batman #77, and Scott Synder continues his tradition of great DC storytelling this week with Justice League #30. Indie publishers and writers are pushing out great original content. Remember to get those indie books ordered early from your local comic shop!
