Each week, independent developers release games to the Xbox One through the ID@Xbox program. The program allows developers to self-publish digital games on the Xbox One and Windows 10 with Xbox Live. It’s an awesome program that has brought some really fun and innovative games to Xbox.
This week, the ID@Xbox program brings 3 new games to the Xbox One. All 3 of these games bring something different to the table. Verdun is a first person shooter inspired by the real life battles of WWI. Clicker Heroes is a “clicker game” that originally released for browsers and later on mobile devices. Table Top Racing: World Tour is an arcade style racing game where you race “toy cars” in real world environments.
If any of these games sound interesting to you, see below for complete descriptions, pricing information, trailers, and links to purchase them digitally on Xbox One. You can also watch them streamed live on the ID@Xbox Beam channel. ID@Xbox Community Manager Jill Conto (GT: AhJILLity) streams new ID@Xbox games every Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday @ 5pm Eastern Time. Be sure to check out her stream to see these new games and you may even win a free code!

Verdun is a multiplayer FPS set in a realistic World War One setting. The merciless trench warfare offers a unique battlefield experience, immersing you and your squad into intense battles of attack and defense. The game takes place on the western front between 1914 and 1918, in one of the bloodiest conflicts in world history. The game offers 4 distinct game-modes: Frontlines, Attrition, Rifle Deathmatch, and Squad Defense. There are also many historically accurate features such as realistic WW1 weaponry, authentic uniforms, and maps based on the real battlefields of France and Belgium. The gameplay is designed to be immersive and gritty with elements such as realistic gore, but the feature can be disable if preferred.

Clicker Heroes started as a free to play web browser game in 2014 and later moved to mobile in 2015. This week it comes to both PS4 and Xbox One. It is what’s known as an Idle RPG or Clicker Game. The name really says it all. To play, you click on a monster to defeat it and get its gold. As you accumulate gold, you use that gold to purchase more heroes so you can deal more damage, defeating monsters more quickly and accumulating more gold. As an “idle” game, it can actually continue working for you when you aren’t playing it. You just have to come back to spend your gold that the game acquired while you were away. There is currently no store page available through the Microsoft Store, but expect that to be available soon.
