Analog Assault Podcast Episode 2: Olympic eSports, Lawbreakers, & Destiny 2 Growing Pains

Recently, news surfaced suggesting that eSports were being considered as a new addition to the 2024 Olympic Games. We dish on what makes an Olympic event worthy, including discussion on some existing questionable events.

 

Cliffy B, of Epic Games fame, has unleashed his newest effort, Lawbreakers. We discuss what we know about the arena style shooter including game modes and release platforms.

 

Destiny, as usual, has made headlines recently. It appears that Bungie’s efforts to cheat-proof Destiny 2 will result in some capture software and other apps being disabled. We also discuss the potential Destiny 2 will have in the eSports arena as well as how the Crucible’s two different modes utilize the matchmaking system. Lastly, a couple of old exotic items from Destiny 1 are allegedly making a return in Destiny 2. We analyze the video and come to our own conclusions.
