A new patch has dropped for the PS4 exclusive title Horizon Zero Dawn. It adds many requested features including New Game Plus, a “hard” mode, and face paint for Aloy.
From Guerilla Games Community Manager, Jeroen Roding, “…As we were wrapping Horizon Zero Dawn, we had a lot of ideas for new characters, quests, and places for Aloy to discover, so we started to develop The Frozen Wilds. We can’t wait for you to experience the dangerous frigid lands to the north! While we’re hard at work on The Frozen Wilds, we have also been working on something else…”
Patch 1.30 is now available to download on your PS4. It includes fixes to bugs and other progression issues players have encountered. It also includes much requested New Game +. With New Game + you can restart your adventure on a harder difficulty, including the new Ultra Hard mode, while still retaining Aloy’s progression and inventory. New Game + also adds two new trophies and extra cosmetic unlockables suc as face paint and a different Focus for Aloy.
Weapons and outfits have also been updated with additional modification slots. The extra slots will not be free, requiring extra shards to unlock them.
These new features add more content to an already amazing game. New Game + and Ultra Hard Mode should hold players over until The Frozen Wilds DLC releases later this year. There is not yet a release date yet, but until then check out the trailer for the upcoming DLC.
